How do I use my pod device?

Pod systems represent a significant advancement in the vaping industry, focusing on portability and ease of use. While they operate similarly to traditional e-cigarettes, pod systems integrate the coil and tank into a single, disposable unit that attaches directly to the battery. Refilling a pod is as simple as filling a tank, and often, you won't need to replace the coil within the pod.

To operate a pod system, begin by attaching the pod to the device. Then, determine whether the device features a fire button. Most pod systems don't offer variable wattage control but may include a preset power level that can be adjusted using a single button. If the device includes a fire button, press it five times to power on the device.

After that, place the mouthpiece between your lips and either draw through the device or press the button while inhaling simultaneously. Once you’ve reached the desired amount of vapor, release the fire button and remove the device from your lips. If the device is draw-activated, simply stop inhaling to end the session.

How do I charge my vape device?

Like all electronic devices, vaporizers and e-cigarettes rely on batteries to operate. These batteries need to be recharged as they do not last indefinitely. Fortunately, the vaping industry has made recharging devices straightforward, and you likely have all the tools you need right at home.

E-cigarettes generally use two types of batteries: integrated and removable. Integrated batteries are built into the device, allowing them to be recharged using the vape itself. To charge, simply find the charging port on your e-cigarette, connect the appropriate charger, and plug it into a wall outlet or a USB port. Most modern devices come with a feature that automatically stops charging when the battery is fully charged, protecting the battery from overcharging.

While many e-cigarettes use integrated batteries, numerous devices feature removable batteries. These batteries also require regular charging, but they need to be charged with an external charger. To do this, remove the batteries from your device and place them in an external charger, which you should plug into a wall socket. Although some e-cigarettes with removable batteries also support charging through the device, it’s best to use an external charger to maintain the battery's longevity and performance.

How do I use my vape/e-cigarette?

After setting up your e-cigarette or vape—by installing the coil and filling the tank—you’re ready to start vaping. To turn on your device, press the main fire button five times quickly. If your vape has adjustable wattage, set it to the lowest wattage specified on the coil or packaging. If your device doesn’t have this feature, you can move on to the next step.

Place the mouthpiece between your lips, press the fire button, and inhale simultaneously. Stop inhaling when you feel satisfied. If your device doesn’t have a fire button, it’s likely draw-activated, which means you simply need to inhale through the mouthpiece to start vaping.

How is vapor produced?

Unlike traditional cigarettes, which rely on combustion to produce smoke for inhalation, vaporization heats a substance to a specific temperature to create a vapor that can be inhaled. In an e-cigarette, this is achieved by the coil, which is powered by the battery to heat the e-liquid to the point of vaporization.

If your device features adjustable wattage, you can control how quickly the coil heats up, with higher power leading to a hotter coil. Operating your coil at an elevated temperature allows the device to generate vapor more quickly and results in the production of larger, denser clouds.

What do I need to start vaping?

The exact accessories you’ll need depend on the type of vape you plan to use, but as a general guideline, most devices will require a backup set of coils, a supply of e-liquid or pods, and a power source. While some of these components may be included with your device, you may need to do a bit of research to find the rest. How do I choose a vape device?

It can be a little confusing getting started with vaping. Here are a few tips on how to choose the right device to set you up for success.

When shopping the site you can filter these different types of vapes by using the additional filters button on the right side of the page.

Refillable pod style devices are the most popular right now because of their small size and versatility. They produce a little less vapor and are much easier to carry around. These devices are usually low wattage (less vapor). Some refillable pod style vapes are capable of higher wattages to produce more vapor if required.

Tank style mods tend to be higher wattage with the exception of a select few. They can be run warmer to produce a larger amount of vapour. These are usually used with lower strength nicotine due to the high vapour output.

Disposables and pre-filled pod devices are great for vacations when you do not want to travel with your gear. They are also a good way to test the waters to see if vaping is for you. They only come in 20mg Salt Nic which is quit high so exercise caution that you are not overdoing it with the nicotine.

Disposables and pre-filled pod systems are convenient but they are also much more expensive. It is roughly 5 times more expensive to use these products than a refillable device. They are also pretty bad for the environment due to waste so we tend to lean towards refillable devices.

Why does my throat hurt?

If you're new to vaping, you might experience some throat irritation and coughing. This is quite common among new vapers but is usually a result of improper vaping techniques and can be easily avoided.

First, take a look at the nicotine strength in your e-liquid and the type of device you're using. It's important to know that high-nicotine e-liquids and nic salts are not suitable for sub-ohm and high-power devices. In general, if you're using an e-liquid with a high nicotine concentration, it's best to choose a device that doesn’t produce a lot of vapor.

Also, consider how much nicotine you really need and reevaluate the e-liquid you're using. Many beginners tend to choose e-liquids with excessively high nicotine levels, which can lead to throat irritation and other unwanted side effects.
